As many others do, I started my journey into the nutrition and wellness world through wanting to change the way my body looked. Quickly to realize there’s more to the food we’re putting in rather than just calories in - calories out (hello nutrients 🤩). Not to mention the obsessive mindset we can develop around eating habits that caused anxiety and avoidance in my day to day. My love for holistic nutrition deepened after I started to use food as fuel rather than a number of grams or calories. I became fully immersed in the holistic health field, believing food can be medicine and WE HAVE THE POWER to take back control of our relationship and mindset with food.
here’s my Story…so far
Not everyone will agree with me on this one… Nutrition is a crucial component of building stress resilience, reducing fatigue and balancing our mood swings BUT if our nervous system is stuck in dysregulation (aka fight-flight-freeze mode) it will ultimately be so much more challenging to correct nutritional or hormonal imbalances. If we’re not addressing the dysregulated nervous system we’re likely perpetuating these negative symptoms unknowingly!
After years of working as a weight loss coach it became very apparent to me that no matter how much education we did around which foods to eat, the reasons behind WHY we’re eating is much more likely to impact what food choices we make. So if we’re operating from survival mode and not eating to fuel our health, our choices are going to be focused around convenience and pleasure since we’re using the majority of our conscious energy just to make it through each day (if you feel like you’re running on a hamster wheel - I feel ya). You CAN reclaim your energy with small intentional actions and watch your quality of life transform!
Now, as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and a Certified Weight Loss Coach, I combine the cutting-edge of nutrition and lifestyle science with a holistic body-mind-spirit approach to regulating the nervous system. In my 1-on-1 and online programs, I help high achievers and CEO’s build their stress resilience, improve their energy levels and stop riding the daily emotional roller coaster. I’m convinced that we can transform the caffeine dependency, sleepless nights and chronic fatigue for a thriving life of mind-body-soul alignment.
